2017 Youth Forum in Chienkuo Technology University - service clubs and leadership in universities, colleges and high schools.

2017 Youth Forum was held in Chienkuo Technology University on November 2nd. There were more than 200 students from high schools, universities and colleges in central cities attending the forum. The event was hosted by the president of Distinguished Citizens Society International, Guang-Nan Chen; the chairman of Chienkuo Technology University, Lien-Hsing Wu, President Farn-Shing Chen and the president of alumni association, Cheng-Zh Lin. All of them were cheerfully interacted with the youth representatives.
Guang-Nan Chen, the president of Distinguished Citizens Society International , said that the association is the international club which was originated from Taiwan. The branches cover every city in Taiwan, Europe, the U.S., Japan, New Zealand, Australia and some countries in Oceania. Mr. Chen also stated that Junior Outstanding Youth Award has been held by Distinguished Citizens Society International for 25 years, in recognition of the great effort that all service clubs in colleges made. Through selecting the best clubs and leaders, the award provides a positive competition for the clubs, and encourages them to improve themselves. Hence, "Junior Outstanding Youth Award Sharing Event" was made for those clubs to share their experiences and learn from one another.
13 youth clubs from high schools attended to the event. Principal Shu-Zhen Nian from National Changhua Senior High School for Commerce also led her students to attend the event in person. President Farn-Shing Chen said that the event was meaningful which offered a good chance for students to learn from one another, to share experience, to broaden horizons, to deepen self-worth, and to have better understanding of their futures.
Vice Director from Department of Education in Changhua County Government, Qyueh-Fen Zhang, mentioned that Changhua County Government will also hold the similar forum which is called Baguashan Youth Forum. She invited all the youths to come to discuss about public affairs. In addition, senior counselor from Office of the President, Shou-Bo Zhao, will also participate and give a speech.
